New York, a city with people from various cultural backrounds - Afro-Americans,
Asian-Americans, Italian-Americans…
Susanne Schuricht focuses on the information communicated by the photographic
imagery found in todays newspapers from different cultural communities
of New York. Displaying a selection of newspapers, each with the text
painted out so viewers can reflect on today’s offerings of visual
imagery. The way the artist installed her work reminds you of a fan of
country flags.
